WTSS Visit Florida Official Contest Rules
Who Can Enter
1. To enter, contestants must be legal residents of the State of New York, who are 21 years of age or older.
2. Employees of Entercom Buffalo, LLC (“Company”), d/b/a WTSS-FM/Star 102.5 (“Station”), its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, contest sponsors, advertising and promotion agencies, any other Buffalo area radio stations and the immediate family members (i.e., spouses, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, and siblings) and anyone else residing within the household of each of the above are NOT eligible to enter and/or to win.
Entry
1. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Entrants can enter to win the Grand Prize beginning Wednesday, February 20 th through Sunday, March 16 th, 2008 (“Contest Period”) by logging on to www.mystar1025.com and completing the enter to win form, including name, address, date of birth, street address, e-mail address, and a poem 300 words or less about winter in Western New York. All entries must be received by 9:00pm on Sunday, March 16 th and will be judged based on the following criteria: creativity, humor, and proper grammar and spelling. Three Grand Prize winners will be selected form all eligible entries. Entrants may only enter once for the Grand Prize drawing.
2. Each Monday between March 3rd and March 17th, 2008, Station will announce one winner’s name on-air during the morning show (between 6AM and 9AM). The Station will also attempt to notify the Grand Prize Winners by telephone before 5:00 pm on the day they win.
3. Contestants may only win one prize per person every 30 days unless specified otherwise. For contests that run beyond 30 days, contestants may only win one prize per contest.
4. Station is not responsible for any on-line entries that are misdirected or not received.
5. Station Management shall be the sole arbiters in all matters relating to the contest and in the interpretation of contest rules. The decisions of Station Management shall be final. Entry into the contests constitutes agreement by contestant to abide by these rules, as well as any other rules established by Station.
Prize(s)
1. The three Grand Prizes will be provided courtesy of Visit Florida. Each Grand Prize is round trip airfare for four (4) people from Buffalo, NY to Tampa, FL courtesy of Airtran Airways, three (3) night’s double-occupancy accommodations for four (4) at the Emerald Greens Golf Resort and Country Club (incidental expenses not included), and four (4) passes to The Museum of Science & Industry. The value of each Grand Prize is approximately $3,320. Trip must take place before February 29th, 2009. Blackout dates may apply. Flights are based on availability and may be subject to additional restrictions. (Prize does not include additional ground transportation, meals, taxes and/or any other expenses or fees. Grand Prize Winners are responsible for all other costs and expenses associated with utilization of the Grand Prize not specifically set forth herein.)
2. Station is not responsible for replacing or reimbursing the Grand Prize Winner with any form of compensation for flights that are cancelled. Any such cancellation is deemed beyond the control of the Station. This includes, but is not limited to, event cancellations, trip schedule changes, flight cancellations, changes in travel arrangements, travel delays of any form or duration, as well as all acts of nature, war or terrorism. Additionally, Station is not responsible for any work stoppage that may affect the Grand Prize Winner’s ability to use the Grand Prize. Station is likewise not responsible for any expenses incurred by the Grand Prize Winner as a result of any such cancellation.
3. Prizes may be picked up by winner only. Winner is required to present a valid state photo ID and social security number in order to pick up any prize. All winners are required to sign a Release relieving WTSS-FM, Entercom Buffalo, its parents, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents and contest sponsors from any and all liability with respect to the contestant's participation in the contest and the receipt and/or use of the prize. Any person who refuses to sign the Release and/or provide a social security number will forfeit the contest prize. Grand Prize Winner and Guest must comply with (and travel shall be subject to) federal, state, and international law governing such international travel. In the event that the Winner/Guest are unable to do so, the Grand Prize shall be forfeited. Winners will need to provide proof of citizenship for travel to international destinations.
4. Station accepts no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession, and/or use of the Grand Prize.
5. WTSS-FM reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for all contests and giveaways. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. No transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed.
6. The Grand Prize shall be forfeited if not utilized during the dates of travel set forth above.
7. Winners are responsible for paying all applicable local, county, state and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prize, as set forth in the contest rules, and will be issued an IRS 1099 form for all prizes won from Station where the aggregate value of all prizes is $600 or more.
8. By participating in this contest, each contestant hereby consents to the Entercom Buffalo’s use of following for on-air broadcast and for advertising and promotional purposes without payment of additional consideration: contestant's name; voice; likeness; biographical information; his/her participation in the contest; and the substance of the contestant's telephone call.
Odds of Winning/Miscellaneous
1. Odds of winning the Grand Prize depend on the number of eligible entries.
2. Complete contest rules are available at the WTSS-FM studios at 500 Corporate Parkway, Suite 200, Amherst, NY 14226 during normal business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and online at www.mystar1025.com.
3. WTSS-FM contests are subject to all applicable laws and regulations and are void where prohibited.
4. WTSS-FM reserves the right to change, alter or modify these rules at any time with or without written notice. Material changes to the contest rules will be broadcast on-air, when practical.
5. Station’s general contest rules apply. To the extent that any of the general rules differ from these individual contest rules, then these rules will govern and control.
6. WTSS-FM reserves the right to end or stop any contest at any time and for any reason. |
